You will provide operational and consultative support to community leaders and their teams, equipping managers with tools and techniques to enable them to manage staff in alignment with Balfour Senior Living policies, practices, and programs. You will oversee the day-to-day administration and execution of human resources policies and programs. You will also lead company-wide programs and initiatives as assigned.

Executes day-to-day HR responsibilities, applying knowledge of HR policies/procedures, local and federal employment laws, and talent management practices
Supports managers in solving people-related business problems by understanding local issues, considering possible alternatives, and taking action quickly and efficiently
Coach managers on complex employee relations issues, providing guidance on conversations with employees, the employee relations process, and potential legal issues
Partners with management to drive employee engagement at community level and works creatively with the Executive Director and leadership team to empower, hold accountable, and recognize employees

Support recruiting efforts as needed, including:
Work with managers to identify long term staffing needs
Manage internal promotions/transfers
Partner with recruiter on offer considerations, ensuring successful transition to onboard employees effectively.
May support community specific recruiting efforts (i.e. attend job fairs)
Assist employees on Balfour processes/policies; serve as local point of contact for employee questions/concerns
Coordinates separations/exit actions
Leads any corporate training/communication needs at the local community level
Serves as Subject Matter Expert on several HR related items. Acts as lead within HR team on areas assigned

BS/BA degree in HR or Business Administration or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
3 years of HR or related experience
Knowledge of state and federal employment laws
Demonstrate and maintain discretion and professionalism while dealing with matters of a confidential nature
Customer service oriented, self-motivated, responsive individual who can multi-task and work independently as well as in a team environment
Works effectively with shifting priorities and under tight deadlines
Ability to manage conflict; effecting at coaching managers on employee relations issues
Some travel (primarily in the Denver area) may be required
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Majority of the time will be seated or walking throughout the community
