General Employee Responsibilities

Comply with local, state, and federal guidelines and laws.

Promote and comply with Northeast State Community College SAFE Campus programs.
Maintain digital calendar and archive annually on June 30. Provide supervisor with access to calendar and an archived copy of calendar for annual performance review.
Seek efficiencies and continuous improvement in both position and personal growth
Lead/promote College and TBR initiatives as they relate to this office.
In all duties assigned, show a commitment to quality, customer service, and Northeast State Community College: to include students, College employees, and the community served by Northeast State. Be an active and contributing part of the Northeast State Team
Follow professional code of conduct and ethics; maintain professional dress in compliance with expectations of the position
Complete other assignments as directed by supervisor
Utilize effective people skills in working with internal and external customers

Specific Role and Responsibilities

Maintain a positive, efficient and comfortable environment for students, staff, faculty and guests
Answer calls from multi-line phone system
Collect and forward information from telephone calls, walk-ins, and web inquiries to appropriate offices
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Collect data and maintain reports for monthly reporting purposes
Coordinate and execute mass mailings
Assist in college-wide orientation and registration activities
Assist with orientation, Fall Open House, Homeschool Day, pre-registration, registration, honors convocation, and graduation (may include altered work schedule at peak periods)
Coordinate campus visits/tours and manage tour guide schedules and provide campus tours
Manage individual and large group campus visits and tours, including follow-up correspondence
Hire, train and supervise student workers
Process outbound letters and information packets for prospective students
Process student, staff and faculty IDs
Keep digital records and perform data entry
Demonstrate a commitment to customer service including potential students, current students, college employees, and members of the community served by Northeast State
Complete other assignments as directed by supervision

Requirements of the Position

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education – Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution
Education – Minimum of two years clerical/front office experience
Extensive customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
Team Player
Ability to multitask effectively
Ability to handle confidential records in a responsible manner
Technology Skills: MS Office skills, Word, Excel, Access; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Banner Student Information System
Experience working in a higher education setting

Additional Notes

High volume office
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Occasional out-of-town travel for training/professional development

Compensation: $22,098 - $26,522 annual salary dependent on education and experience.
