Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in health science, public health, computer science, statistics or relevant field with three years of research experience in data-manipulation and cleaning, and analysis OR Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or universityin health science, public health, computer science, statistics or relevant field with six years of relevant experience to include at least three years of research experience in data-manipulation and cleaning, and analysis Departmental Requirements - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of SAS/SPSS, knowledge of research and statistical methods; data manipulation and cleaning procedure and skill. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of and able to utiliize Microsoft office software.
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university and experience in community based participatory research; secondary data (ex: NHANES, NHIS, etc) or big data experience; strong computing skills (ex: SAS, Matlab, Perl, C++, etc)
The duties include but are not limited to: providing high level support to multiple research faculty in the Institute of Public and Preventive Health and its Data Coordinating Center with a focus on health services research. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, data-maniulation and cleaning, data analysis, determination of appropriate quantitative approach for data management to achieve analysis-ready data sets; utilization of appropriate methods and analytic software (ex: SAS, SPSS, STATA, R) providing research analysis and methodology through a variety of mechanisms (ex: orally, in writing, grapically, and other media); assisting faculty with manuscripts and grant submissions. Additional responsibilities may also include other general research support tasks. Other duties as assigned.
