The EOC General Advisor coordinates and guides students’ journey into higher education. Assists with financial aid, admissions, and enrollment. Assists the Program Director and Specialists in planning and providing academic, outreach, and group activities and/or knowledge specific to Wasatch and Summit Counties. Assists in recruitment and follow-up into EOC program.
Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree plus 2 years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree; or any combination of education and experience totaling four years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have basic knowledge of college preparation to pursue a college curriculum and paying for college resources and services.
Must have experience in working with high school youth transitioning to higher education institutions.
Basic knowledge of local community and existing relationships in K-16 grades.
Basic knowledge of financial aid and scholarship processes.
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates good presentation and public speaking skills for youth and adults.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrates the ability to organize schedules, prioritize tasks, and follow-through on assignments.
Ability to successfully interact with students with diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
Ability to speak Spanish is highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Frequent walking, sitting, speaking, hearing, vision and fine hand manipulation for use of a computer. May also require some lifting up to 25 lbs.

You may be eligible for a 3 credit hour or 1 class tuition waiver after 6 consecutive months of employment and a minimum of 475 hours worked. Dependents do not qualify for a waiver.
Pay Range $12.59 - $15.73 DOE
