Full Job Description
In the RF Solutions group we develop and install satellite communication systems worldwide. The group supports a diverse customer base in far reaching locations.. We are responsible for the initial acquisition of a signal to ingestion into an analog to digital converter.
You’ll get to:
Work with a diverse engineering team with skill sets covering: digital signal processing, computer science, electrical systems design, civil works design, electrical engineering, infrastructure design, and mechanical engineering.
Own the end-to-end design to delivery process of custom hardware
Design, fabricate, assemble, and the test custom components and systems
Design mechanical assemblies Solidworks, assemble, and test electrical and RF enclosures for our custom RF systems.
Build, point, and test antennas systems.
Work with RF testing equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator) and get hands on experience the full end to end test of RF systems.
More About the Role:
The enclosure components may or may not be picked out for the intern, but the intern will be fully responsible for organizing, packaging, soldering, wiring, bolting, testing, and etc. in order to fully assemble the enclosures as a finished product themselves.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Solidworks or similar CAD software.
Must currently be enrolled in High School OR a full-time Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctorate student
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance (if applicable to position)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Circuits and a basic understanding of electrical systems.
If Undergraduate or Graduate, pursing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred, not required
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
