Full Job Description
Old Mission Capital, is a quantitative proprietary trading firm and is currently recruiting a Quantitative trader to join our New York office. Our traders work in teams to seek out and profitably trade mispriced securities.
The quantitative trader job responsibilities will include disciplined decision making, risk management, derivative pricing, and researching new opportunities. This quantitative trader will be managing the entire trading cycle from signal research, portfolio construction, execution and risk management.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, or one of the hard sciences.
Candidates must be proficient coding with one of the following languages: Python, Java, C++, VBA, R, Matlab, Ruby.
4+ years of relevant experience consisting of trading and research with a primary focus on global equities.
Experience focused on medium frequency market –neutral systematic trading strategies
Deep understanding with index rebalance forecasting and trading, portfolio construction and optimization
The ability to work and solve problems as part of a team, often in a high-pressure environment.
Proven trustworthiness and performance under the highest ethical standards;
A strong desire for knowledge and to understand how things work.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
