Angela Monaco Jewelry is a brand and fine jewelry store centering on high quality handmade jewelry, connection to people and creativity, and reverence for the natural world and all the care that needs to be directed towards it. AMJ pieces are individually handcrafted with environmentally-considered materials produced in our in house studio and on Philadelphia’s Jewelers’ Row. AMJ supports marriage equality, racial justice, and creating a more equitable world through both products and practices.
Position Overview
In the position of Fine Jewelry Sales Associate at Angela Monaco Jewelry, you will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class, luxury experience for our customers while fostering a positive and meaningful environment. You are sales focused, enjoy serving others, and are passionate about our people and our products. Your goal is to have a positive impact on someone’s time in and with our brand and help connect them to their perfect jewelry or gifts based on the customers needs. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work in various aspects of the business. Your team can count on you to be a team player who shows up with optimism and enthusiasm that influences others positively. You have a knack for building lasting relationships, and the skills to excel in a CRM-driven sales strategy. Key responsibilities include clientelling, fostering strong customer relationships, and providing exceptional service. This full-time (4-5 days a week), in-person, hourly retail position at our flagship location in Philadelphia, We are open for business Wednesday-Sunday 11am-6pm and need people with weekend availability. We are flexible to give our staff off on certain weekends and rotate weekend shifts.
What We Need From You
- 3-5 years of retail sales experience is a must
- 2-3 years in Fine jewelry or Luxury sales is preferred
- A history of meeting sales targets
- GIA (gemology) coursework a plus but not required
- Experience and interest in fine jewelry, custom designed jewelry and luxury retail
- A creative eye with artistic vision and a passion for well made goods
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to work closely and effectively with others
- Ability to set priorities and execute against them; to multitask and be accountable
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work weekends and our store hours, including Wednesday-Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM
Compensation
- Hourly rate starting at $18.00 to $25.00 based on experience with potential for compensation increase and sales incentive after 90 days of employment.
