About The Job
Join a safety-focused, customer-oriented, fast-paced team and deliver packages and smiles to customers as a Delivery Walker/Courier. This means you will be meeting your team in Manhattan, physically loading small packages onto hand-trucks, and then walking across Manhattan to deliver packages into buildings. Minimum Requirements - You Must Be …
- At least 18 years old
- Able to lift, carry and deliver boxes up to 50 pounds
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
What You’ll Do
- Meet your team at anchor points in Manhattan, physically load packages onto hand-trucks, and walk across Manhattan to deliver packages into commercial and residential buildings
- Be prepared to deliver up to 200-300 packages per shift
- Walk and pull/push hand-trucks safely in all types of outdoor weather conditions
- Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
- Work independently and collaborate effectively
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, while walking on the road
- Lift, push, pull, and sort boxes and packages weighing up to 50 pounds daily; climb up and down stairs frequently and daily
- Use electronic devices for route navigation and planning
- Be willing to work on some week-ends and holidays
- Build positive relationships with the local communities and buildings we’re delivering to
- Be reliable, flexible, and teamwork oriented – must be willing to work both on your own and help/rescue the rest of the team, as needed
