JPMorgan Chase's Receivables Operations division enables its clients to out-source manual accounts receivable processes by accepting paper-based payments on their behalf. The Firm leverages efficient workflow processes and technology to extract payments, capture document information, and make deposits faster and at lower cost than would otherwise be possible. The Data Analyst will join the Receivables Data Operations Team, which conducts a variety of analytics, reporting, and business support functions for a global network of operations.

As a Data Analyst, you will:
Analyze operational performance data for insight

Develop, test, implement, and maintain dashboards for data-driven decision-making

Perform ETL functions using SQL and Alteryx

Model scenarios to support decision-making

Present findings to senior management

Create professional documents and presentations

Lead and support operations improvement projects

Adopt new data technologies and integrate into existing information architecture

Minimum 3 years’ experience in data analytics or management reporting, preferably with Tableau and Alteryx
Bachelor’s degree in a business, mathematics, technology, or other quantitative discipline
Experience analyzing data for insight, modeling scenarios, wrangling data, and developing dashboards

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms
Self-starter; able to solve problems and deliver meaningful results with minimal direction
Natural curiosity and interest in new data analytics methods and technologies
Effective time management and prioritization skills
Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate well with everyone from operational staff to executive management

Technical Skills:
Firm understanding of basic statistics and its application to business problems
Sense for visual design with application to documents, data visualizations, and dashboards
Excellent MS Office skills, with special emphasis on Excel (advanced), PowerPoint (advanced), and SharePoint (intermediate)
Intermediate skill analyzing data and building dashboards with Tableau
Intermediate skill gathering, preparing, and building workflows for data with Alteryx
Intermediate knowledge of SQL to query and load databases from source files

5 years’ experience in data analytics or management reporting, preferably with Tableau and Alteryx
Experience automating reporting and business processes
Experience building data flows for reporting and analytics with SQL, Alteryx, and similar tools
Experience working with Oracle databases and Application Express
Familiarity with Python, R, and/or Javascript for data analysis and visualization
Understanding of agile methodologies and tools, including Scrum, Kanban, and JIRA
