Starbucks Technology is looking for partners to join our organization that can help us take our Oracle Accounts Payable Solutions to the next level as we continue to grow.
As a systems analyst senior on the FinTech Revenue, Rewards, and Payables technology team you will be responsible for supporting the existing Oracle AR capabilities and landscape for our customers and business partners across the US, Canada, and EMEA. You will also be involved in implementing enhancements to our existing solutions, supporting business initiatives that leverage our capabilities, and adding new core functionality as the platform grows. The team works on solutions from a global perspective and will be supporting Starbucks with new capabilities and in new geographies as demand continues to grow.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Solution Delivery – Full SDLC involvement to deliver new and expanded solutions to meet business needs.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to support the design and development of technology or process solutions.
Leverage leading process, technology, and industry expertise to propose appropriate solution options.
Translate business requirements into technology solutions. Clearly define and communicate targeted functional solutions via functional design specifications
Coordinate solution definition/delivery activities with vendors as required. •
Coordinates with business, development, and testing teams and leverages relevant process and technology proficiency to propose optimal solution(s) options delivering required business capabilities.
Proactively identifies and effectively assesses improvement opportunities (productivity/efficiency gains, cost savings, etc.)
Production Support – Provide support to existing implementations and identify and develop improvements.
Provide 24*7 global support for critical systems.
Leverage system and process expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting complex issues to drive resolution and determine root cause.
Coordinate issue resolution efforts across peer support groups, technical support teams, vendors, and business users as required.
Correlate related production issues and assess trends to identify broader improvement opportunities.
Coordination / Leadership – Partner with cross-functional teams to solve challenges, resolve issues, and set direction for future growth.
Interface across all organization levels comfortably with internal business customers, technical support resources, and external business partners and vendors.
Help translate broader organizational strategies and objectives into relevant technology initiatives.
Works effectively in a self-directed manner with minimal direction from lead and/or manager.
Mentors team members and peers in developing required technical skills, functional knowledge, and business acumen.
Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends and innovative thought leadership.
Summary of Experience
Diverse IT / business experience as a systems analyst – 7+ years
Experience in complex integrated technology and business systems environments – 7+ years
Production support, system maintenance, and enhancement experience – 7+ years
Experience in solution design, testing, and implementation projects within a large, global organization – 7+ years
Relevant functional/business process experience – 7+ years
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Oracle AR ERP application knowledge and system configuration experience in 2 or more of the following modules: AP, AR, Pricing
Knowledge of system development methodologies with experience throughout the full project lifecycle.
Ability to support enterprise business applications and integrated system environments.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment and deal with ambiguity.
Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to interact with senior leadership, technical and business resources, and outside parties (customers, suppliers, and carriers).
Ability to influence and coordinate the efforts of others and drive consensus across a diverse group of functional, technical, and business resources with conflicting or competing priorities.
Ability to drive work to completion effectively in self-directed manner.
Ability to use business knowledge, sound judgment, and resourcefulness to identify and select among varied courses of action.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
AP Experience with Oracle EBS R12.
AP solution design, testing, and implementation experience.
Experience working globally – America’s, EMEA, APAC.
Experience with Agile SCRUM methodology within business technology environment.
Industry experience in Channel Development (Consumer Package Goods, Foodservice, or Licensed Stores), Supply Chain Operations (planning, procurement, transportation), or Financials.
Ability to apply knowledge of multi-disciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
