Pavilion is looking for a talented and highly motivated Research Analyst to join the research division in its Minneapolis office. The successful candidate will report to the Research Director, Risk Management and Strategic Analysis and will be responsible for conducting macroeconomic and firm-wide multi-asset investment and portfolio research. This involves generating client-facing reports illustrating underlying portfolio factor, risk, and stress sensitivities. The analyst will also run, maintain, and develop internal quantitative tools and reports which aide in the portfolio management and asset allocation process. Additional responsibilities may include general investment research, contributing to client projects, and special projects as assigned, including participation in Pavilion-wide projects and committees.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Research (for assigned areas)

Perform specific quantitative and qualitative analyses on investment managers and portfolios (factors, performance, and portfolios).
Run, maintain, and develop quantitative tools and reports which aide the portfolio management process.
Interpret quantitative data while reconciling results qualitative assessments.
Aggregate and manipulate large quantities of data from multiple sources.
Collaborate with research and client teams on internal and external projects.
Accompany consultants on key presentations (clients and prospects) and attend finalist presentations when required.
Help to build and solidify relationships with our consulting clients and investment managers.

Qualifications:
A relevant university degree in business, finance, or actuarial studies (progress toward CFA would be considered an asset).

Proficiency with MS Office tools particularly MS Excel (VBA experience preferred).
Experience with statistical and database programming languages (R, SAS, Stata, SPSS, MatLab, SQL).
