JOB SUMMARY
Poznecki-Camarillo is looking for a LiDAR/Survey Technician with diverse project experience. The technician will work under moderate supervision and will be responsible for the processing, analyzing, data and extraction and collection of terrestrial, aerial and mobile LiDAR and other Geospatial Data. The successful candidate will also be performing computations, drafting, mapping, generating DTM models, data processing, and coordinating with team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create and review digital models and mapping of LiDAR and other types of traditional survey projects.
- Perform LiDAR data acquisition, processing, and prepare deliverables for review.
- Coordinate and communicate with project team in surveying, engineering, production, design and management to meet overall project objectives and deadlines
- Import conventional survey data, process and merge all survey data
- Prepare and/or revise plans, profiles, and detailed drawings and exhibits within company standards from redlines for a variety of projects utilizing CAD software
- Assist in the research of existing record information, including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents; and maintains field data records, survey project files, and indexing systems
- Compile record data to create a working drawing for survey crews and processing field data from the field crews
- Assist RPLS and Survey Technician staff in work production and assembly of project deliverables.
- Participates in pre-survey planning meetings with project managers, engineers, and client representatives.
- Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision
- Maintain organized work area to allow access of project information by other team members
- Flexible in work assignments and team assignments
EDUCATION
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics. Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- 2 years relevant work experience in LiDAR data extraction in lieu of education requirement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years’ experience in Land Surveying and CAD design for surveying projects (non-oil/gas)
- Proficient with Terrascan, Trimble Business Cetner, TopoDOT, ACAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/GeoPak
- Ability to extract and work with LiDAR data and conventional survey data.
- Experience in Autodesk Revit and 3D modeling from point clouds. BIM360 system understanding.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and manage tasks on concurrent assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project need
- Ability to contribute to a positive team environment
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with people in various roles with different leadership styles
- Valid Driver’s License
PREFERED REQUIREMENTS
- 4 years’ experience in extraction, collection, and utilization of LiDAR data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- Previous experience in TxDOT (or other DOT) consulting surveying projects
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License.
- Experience with OpenRoads and TopoDOT
- Experience with collaboration software (ProjectWise, Bluebeam, etc.)
