Northwestern Medical Center's mission is to provide exceptional healthcare for our community. We are currently recruiting for a Director of Primary Care & Urgent Care.

Under the direction of the Vice President of Physician Services, the Director of Primary Care and Urgent Care has overall responsibility for the operations of NMC's primary care (family medicine, pediatric) and urgent care practices. This includes, among other things, ensuring we have the most efficient operations, and that quality protocols, outcomes and metrics are established and met in accordance with NMC, Medicare, accountable care organizations, Blueprint (NCQA patient centered medical home), or other guidelines as may be appropriate. Responsible for preparing annual budget, monitoring results against the budget, and making adjustments to operations as necessary based on budget variances. The Director supervises the RN and Practice supervisors who are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the primary care and urgent care practices.
PREREQUISITES

Education:
Bachelor's Degree required.

Experience:
Minimum five years management experience in a physician's office, medical department, or other medical organization required. Three years minimum staff experience in a health or health related field. A proven lead with strong communication and impeccable customer service skills effective at establishing and enhancing positive relationships with physicians, staff and patients. Demonstrated experience in creating process improvements incorporating the perspective of all associated stakeholders.
