As a member of the national Medicare Stars Member Strategy team, this individual will be accountable for improvement of Star measures related to the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) health plan survey. Working with partners across the company, this individual will define and drive strategies and programs to improve quality performance in areas such as member experience and network performance. This position interfaces with all levels of leadership and requires varying levels of communication skills for conveying analysis outcomes and recommendations. The position requires someone who can drill into the details to begin to resolve challenging health care problems. The individual will also be responsible for quality reporting, analysis and audits, and for developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement.
Define and lead programs that support CAHPS measure improvement, including new and innovative solutions to achieve 4+ Star performance
Partner with data and analytics teams to identify opportunities and monitor performance
Define national best practices, and work with regional/contract-level partners to adapt as needed
Understand/use all reports and tools that support the national CAHPS program; develop new reports/tools if needed
Communicate and present findings, orally and visually in a way that can be easily understood by business counterparts
Build trust and form effective relationships with stakeholders by working collaboratively, providing timely performance updates, partnering on issue resolution/mitigation strategies, and monitoring resolution of identified issues to conclusion
Demonstrate adaptability in a highly changing environment, quickly shifting focus as priorities change

BA / BS Required or Equivalent Experience
5+ years work experience which includes experience in cross-functional business areas such as, strategic planning, member engagement or quality improvement
3+ years Previous experience with Medicare and CAHPS, HOS and STARS
Advanced Microsoft Office Skills with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Critical thinker- this position will need to evaluate merits of new and innovative ideas and make sound decisions
Strong communicator - this role will need to be comfortable presenting program objectives, process, and performance in multiple setting
Self-motivated and demonstrates an innate ability to absorb new concepts, technical frameworks, program paradigms while employing them creatively to solve complex analytical problems
Strong relationship building skills with internal and practice teams to drive goal alignment
Strong presentation skills both written and verbal
