Reporting directly to the Director of Data Analytics & Compliance, the Operations Analyst will provide analytical and decision support to senior financial and operational management. By developing, interpreting, and implementing key performance metrics for supply chain operations the analyst will assist in planning and compliance to these KPI’s. This will be a highly visible role, and the successful candidate will provide analytical support for major business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a “bigger picture” view of the business as a whole, with a strong understanding of supply chain (or willingness to learn), and be able to communicate effectively between all levels of the company. The candidate needs a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks, and successfully defend their recommendations when challenged.

Responsibilities
Prepare weekly KPI (key performance indicator) reports for East Coast operations; port, transportation and warehousing
Maintain compliance standards to meet customer SLA (service level agreements)
Review P&L statements and analyze customer and operator efficiencies and recommend solutions for areas of improvement
Communicate status of facility/operational conditions by collecting, interpreting, and reporting performance data to all levels of management
Provides insights into the organization’s operations and communicating those findings to managers on a weekly basis
Perform ad hoc analysis and assist in building operator dashboards to support management business decisions
Develop, document and oversee new processes to improve operations that result in improved profitability
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
3-5 years of experience working with supply chain operations and data analytics
Willingness to travel to specified building locations located within the East Coast (NY, NJ, MA) when appropriate (10 – 15%)
Desired Skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and communication
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills and keen attention to detail
Ability to interpret data and provide strategic analysis to highest levels of management
