Graduate of an accredited medical assistant training program WITH eligibility to sit for certification exam
Medical Assistant Certification (Existing or in-progress, required within 3 months of hire)
Patient care responsibilities: Vital signs, timely documentation, vaccine administration, occasional medication administration (antipyretics, breathing treatments, IM antibiotics and anti-emetics), administration and documentation of age-appropriate screening tools (Ex. ASQ, PHQ, TB screening, etc).
Responsible for VFC and commercial vaccine management (the person in this role will be the designated VFC Coordinator for our office, with support from existing staff).
Performs in-office testing (vision, hearing, lead, hemoglobin, rapid strep/COVID/RSV/Flu/Mono, hemoglobin A1C and cholesterol)
Phlebotomy skills and laboratory experience required (CLIA waived, ACL affiliated lab on-site).
Proficient with patient information managment in the EHR (EPIC) and HIPAA compliant patient communications via phone/EHR portal. Prior EPIC experience is a plus, but not required (training provided).
Spanish-speaking. Will be called upon to translate occasionally for non-Spanish speaking provider.
Pay negotiable based on skills
