Inspector V – Market Rate $60,431.88
Conducts licensure surveys of Home Health and Personal Assistance Services (PAS) in the Home and Community Support Services Agencies (HCSSA) Program to determine compliance with State requirements, including investigations of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Investigates complaints and self-reported incidents regarding services provided by HCSSA's. Provides assistance to current and prospective agencies for the HCSSA program by accurately interpreting rules/regulations. Identifies and writes deficiencies in accordance with program requirements. Makes appropriate referrals to state agencies. Completes reports supporting enforcement actions and remedies recommended based on survey/investigation findings.

Essential Job Functions:
Conducts licensure inspections and investigations using applicable protocols, state regulations, and appropriate policies and procedures in an effective, thorough, and professional manner.
Conducts surveys and follow-ups as scheduled by the Program Manager Conducts complaint/incident investigations.
Accurately determines compliance with HCSSA state licensure regulations. Recommends appropriate actions based on information gathered during the course of surveys/investigations.
Writes statements of violations in accordance with the Principles of Documentation. Coordinates all aspects of surveys, investigations, and inspections.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Knowledge of Regulatory Services policies and procedures.
Knowledge of relevant laws and rules related to long-term care facilities.
Knowledge of or experience in long-term care regulatory services including surveys, investigations, and or enforcement.
Ability to conduct complex on-site facility inspections for compliance determinations.
Ability to compose professionally written correspondence and legal material. Ability to analyze documents.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, plan, organize and monitor work.

Initial Selection Criteria:
1. Minimum of one-year experience in institutional care, home health care, hospice care or long-term care.
2. Four year degree from an accredited college or university, preferred.
3. Experience and education may be substituted for one another
Additional Information:
Flexibility in work hours is required for this position. This position requires 80% travel including early morning, after-hours, on-call, and weekend work as required to meet program goals and needs. Requires some overnight travel. Must have reliable transportation. All applicants selected for hire must pass a fingerprint criminal background check.
Note: This position is able to work a compressed workweek with options Monday-Thursday, Tuesday-Friday, and Friday-Monday, 10-hour days.
