REPORTING TO: Sr. Dir. Strategic Initiatives
Manages and leads a team of financial analysts who provide timely, accurate, actionable data and analysis supporting the WellCare IPA Service Funds. Leads and manages corporate and regional resources to ensure Service Funds are utilized as a key corporate asset in building positive provider relationships. Develops initiatives to increase profitability and decrease medical expenses. Develops plans, provides resources and direct activities for enterprise-wide provider financial analysis. Proactively initiates and develops analytics for strategic and operating decisions and provides recommendations to senior management on both tactical and strategic nature.
Oversees Service Fund projects and initiatives, directs all necessary follow-ups and communicates results and recommendations to senior management. Advises management in long-range planning for area.
Oversees and conducts monthly analysis identifying opportunities to reduce cost and utilization, to include review and dissemination of reports with summary overviews to highlight issues facing the organization. Manages the financial analysis Provider risk based contracts.
Develops strategies and ensures maximum efficiencies in the utilization of human and financial resources.
Manages and supervises staff to facilitate Service Fund Reporting and ad-hoc analysis. Provides technical direction to functional managers, other directors and management.
Manages and develops direct reports by overseeing the work flow for financial analysts by prioritizing projects and establishing expectations with the department’s internal and external customers.
Plans, conducts and directs work on complex projects/programs necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches.
Develops and manages new reporting tools based on the needs of the Regional representatives in Provider Relations, Contracting, and Medical Management.
Develops and provides actionable recommendations to senior management relative to all analysis and/or ad hoc reporting. Recommends changes in policies and procedures.
Leads and manages meetings to facilitate communications in regional initiatives to improve operating results.
Ensures corporate initiatives are implemented to achieve optimum results.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required A Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Required Other an addition 2 years of relevant healthcare experience may be substituted in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Other Graduate degree (Master's of Business Administration or Certified Public Accountant)
Required 7 years of experience in relevant healthcare
Required Other Healthcare financial management experience
