JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER (Infrastructure/Network Engineering)
Department: OFFICE OF PUBLIC SAFETY (OPSA)

Under direction, the class is managerial in nature and accountable for senior manager level functions; positions allocated to this class are characterized as having a broad scope of management responsibilities, and performs related duties as required
Troubleshoots and resolve network incidents (911, Radio, and Public Safety network infrastructure)
Implements new configurations and changes to existing configurations within the network
Works with contractors to plan projects, hold contractors accountable to project deadlines, and bring projects to 100% completion on time and on budget.
Creates Network Diagrams (Physical and Logical)
Develops and maintains next generation VoIP architecture
Implementation of Firewalls and security devices
Designs, provision, and operate an extensive MPLS IP WAN / LAN network, to include MPLS networks

Hours: 8:00 – 4:00, Monday - Friday
THIS POSITION IS EXEMPT FROM THE CAREER SERVICE.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a field of study directly related to the responsibilities of the position, plus five years of project management work experience dealing with routing, switching, or server infrastructure, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Equivalencies: 1) Associate’s Degree plus seven years of experience, 2) Master’s Degree plus four years of experience, 3) Nine years of experience
