Your Role:
The Industrial X-Ray Radiographer position would work with design, manufacturing, and testing of advanced composites and thermal protective system materials. This position would support our Energy Materials Testing Laboratory NDT team to contribute to the success of the business in the aerospace and defense market. This is a full-time position, typically consisting of four (4) ten-hour days.

Hands-on technical support and process control
Work with engineers and senior technicians in the evaluation and analysis of materials and processes
Complete the FMI X-ray radiographer training program and maintain proficiency via annual recertification
Review and evaluate developed x-ray images, to determine image quality and for material diagnostic purposes
Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the production parts for diagnostic purposes
Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of equipment and staff
Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination
Perform routine preventative maintenance on x-ray imaging equipment
Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide Lean improvement initiatives
Follow all Environmental Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures

What we need from you!

Minimum 1+ years related experience and/or relevant training
Associates degree in radiography preferred
Familiarity with both, digital images and film is desired
Exposure to ASTM E1742 and NAS 410 is desired
Strong mathematical skills and aptitude
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
