This position oversees the Culinary/Dietary Department of our soon-to-open retirement community, ensuring a quality dining experience for our residents, family members and staff. Qualifications: The Culinary Director / Certified Dietary Manager must be a graduate of an approved certification course that meets the state and federal care regulations. Safe Serve certification is required.

Duties and Responsibilities: Duties are determined by the company’s needs and may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist with food purchasing, managing storage of food, food production and timely service of meals.
  • Develop standardized recipes, with modified diets and extensions when needed, and meal planning.
  • Direct and supervise all dietary functions and personnel; assist with ongoing training of department personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing, the consulting Registered Dietician, residents and at times, family members.
  • Manage reporting compliance.
  • May occasionally be required to work extended hours and holidays.
