Finance Systems Analyst

The Finance Systems Analyst will consult with key stakeholders and lead in the analysis, design, and implementation of new Finance system functionality. This includes:
Partnering with business stakeholders and translating needs to functional requirements
Interpret business/functional requirements in technical terms for IS
Actively participating in creating and managing effective change initiatives
The Finance Systems Analyst is considered a subject matter expert and an active mentor and trainer to other associates in their area of expertise. Leadership and representation of Finance Systems in a consulting role in cross functional initiatives are a significant part of the responsibilities.
An individual in this role must have experience across multiple tools and applications while keeping abreast of current trends and developing tools and technology. Individuals will be looked upon to provide direction as to the effective use of technology while proactively seeking technical improvements and taking initiative to communicate and implement solutions using this technology. Responsibilities also include providing leadership and mentoring related to functional and technical aspects of systems development and design, tools, methodologies, best practices and processes and standards that apply to their area of expertise.
Provide monitoring of activities in applications and tools to ensure appropriate security controls are maintained and assisting management in the protection of system resources and associated assets.
BS/BA degree is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience directly related to functional and or technical area of expertise.
Implementation and configuration experience with any of the top tier off- the- shelf vendor solutions – Oracle, SAP, Workday.
Ability to act as consultant and influence decisions on process and system changes.
Ability to create and execute multiple project plans at the same time of moderate complexity.
Exposure to Project Management practice or discipline.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
Knowledge and experience in finance, accounting, and/or information systems. This knowledge should consist of an understanding of accounting concepts as well as knowledge of financial applications and various end user reporting tools.
Complex problem solving and data analysis skills necessary to complete root cause analysis using industry standard tools.
Demonstrated understanding of risk management concepts.
Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders using verbal, written and presentation skills.
Ability to diagram moderately complex business processes, data flows and architecture for new systems and data.
Ability to quickly learn and process complex ideas and concepts to evaluate multiple alternatives expediently and arrive at conclusions that align to targeted goals.
Understanding of cross functional systems and impacts of change.
Proven ability to work in a team orientated collaborative environment.
