We are looking for a local Care Pro Trainerwho is an expert in caregiving and can provide an exceptional training experience for new Care Pros, running orientations and nurturing relationships throughout the Care Pros’ career at Honor. You will remain an important touch point for Care Pros throughout their employment - providing training and engagement opportunities to ultimately improve the quality, retention, and happiness of Care Pros in our Tucsonmarket. The ideal candidate has a strong background in training, as well as a passion for senior care and ability to connect easily with others.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the new hire onboarding process, including conducting local new hire orientations 2-3 times per week, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is diligently tracked and completed
  • Conduct in-person assessments to ensure all candidates meet Honor’s quality bar - addressing skills, aptitude, judgment, and ability to support specific client needs
  • Utilize relationship-building and an understanding of the caregiving industry to find high quality candidates through referrals and local sourcing (attending schools, local job fairs, planning gatherings to celebrate and connect with our Care Pros and their caregiver friends)
  • Visit clients’ homes on an as-needed basis to assist with training Care Pros and/or re-evaluating the in home needs.
  • Regularly conduct reassessments of Care Pros to ensure they are continuing to be matched up with clients safely and appropriately
  • Foster long term relationships with Care Pros after hire, serving as a source of information, support, and local connection to all things Honor
  • Be the team’s expert on Tucson- understanding who our current Care Pros are and how we can bring on, and retain, the best caregivers in the region.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Based in Tucson, AZ with ability to travel to Austin, TX or Concord, CA 1x times/month
  • 3+ years Experience as a professional caregiver, CNA/LVN/MA preferred
  • Record of providing excellent care to seniors and/or having a medical certification
  • Experience with caring for aging adults
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and relate to our caregivers
  • Ability to present charismatically and keep a group engaged with subject matter
  • Ability to complete and demonstrate required physical skills involved in caregiving
  • Extensive knowledge of, and ability to clearly articulate, skills necessary for caregiving
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to go the extra mile
