GERBER GROUP is seeking an Events Manager to join our team! The pay is salary plus commission on events.

Responsibilities…
- Develop and manage all timelines, budgets, communication, and overall project management for events ranging from small in-house activities of 10 people to large-scale productions for groups of 400+.
- Execute events from concept to completion including creative conceptualization, strategy, management, and oversight of every detail of the event management life cycle.
- Clearly communicate event scope, schedules, deliverable dates and project status
- Participate in project meetings and brainstorming sessions and facilitate as needed
- Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client’s needs are heard, understood, and addressed in a timely manner and clearly articulated to the internal team
- Interface with outside professionals hired for assigned projects including event companies, caterers, production companies, venue management teams, etc.
- Work with the MGMT team on day to day operations
- Negotiate contracts and evaluate options with a variety of vendors and arrange for all related event services- floral, A/V, F&B, signage, entertainment, etc.
- Monitor event platforms regularly to ensure event selections are up-to-date and accurate
- Work closely with Accounting to reconcile billing following each event
- Develop and monitor event budgets to ensure revenue and expenses are kept within established boundaries
- Cross promote Gerber Group venues
- Develop a working knowledge of the technology and tools used in the department, take ownership of and have a thorough understanding of- Sevenrooms, Venuebook, Avero

- 2+ years of sales/events experience

- Proven ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and negotiation
- Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional English communication skills, written and spoken. Spanish a plus!
- Ability to work long hours and weekends as needed

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
