The candidate is expected to perform work on various National Security topics in support of a range of US Dept. of Defense customers. The candidate will conduct research in support of analytical projects, develop papers that analyze or recommend positions on issues, and develop and present briefing materials.
Develop papers and briefing products to include evaluation of media products, potential implications to DoD defense programs, analysis of national policy and strategy documents and options, development of communication products for DoD clients and programs.
Enrolled in a Masters program in Political Science, International Affairs/Relations, Strategic Studies, or National Security Studies
Quickly digest, integrate, interpret, and effectively communicate large amounts of information
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills
Capable of breaking down complex issues into simplified problem statements and laying out objective approaches to identify and compare the merits of competing solutions
Capable of clearly communicating complex ideas in an accessible and understandable way
Provide a writing sample that enables assessment of composition, analysis, and argumentation skills
Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Comfortable working in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
