Summary

The purpose of this position is to assist and support in the administration of field data collection phases of the various current or special census surveys while troubleshooting any field operational problems.

This announcement is for a Supervisory Survey Specialist position in the Philadelphia Regional Office located in Philadelphia, PA. This is a Term Appointment, initial appointment is not to exceed (NTE) 9/30/2020. This appointment may be extended 2 additional years at management’s discretion. A trial period may be required. A supervisory probationary period may be required. Relocation expenses will not be paid. The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour. With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement.

  • Responsibilities**

The individual selected for this position will:

  • Assist and support the administration of field data collection phases of various surveys and troubleshoot operation problems.**

  • Supervises and administers the work of field representatives and clerical staff assigned to a survey.**
  • Communicate the progress of program operations to management and other staff including subordinates.*
