Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, long-term team member with general mechanical knowledge to join our team and grow into the Facilities Manager position. As our Assistant Facilities Manager, you will be working alongside our experienced Facilities Manager with the goal of moving into the Facilities Manager position within the next couple of years.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of warehouse and fabrication operations, including ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Assist in overseeing the scheduling and coordination of sheet metal fabrication projects, ensuring timely completion while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Assist in metal fabrication projects.
- Assist with overseeing inventory control procedures, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and audits, to maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Prepare reports and analysis on inventory levels, stock movements, and operational performance for management review.
- Assist in the management of the company's fleet, ensuring vehicles and trailers are properly maintained, serviced, and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Assist in the developing and implementing procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.
- Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management, with a focus on compliance and safety is preferred.
- Inventory management software and systems (i.e. MarginPoint), with the ability to analyze data and generate reports, is preferred.
- Metal fabrication experience is preferred.
- Fleet management experience is preferred.
- General mechanical knowledge is preferred.
- Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment is preferred.
