Our Endocrine Research Department is searching for a
Clinical Research Nurse. In this role the responsibilities will entail the coordination, implementation and completion of clinical research studies in children and adolescents with a variety of endocrine disorders including type 1 diabetes, disorders of growth and puberty and many others.
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigators this role blends closely with a multidisciplinary team of talented specialists, nurse practitioners, fellows and research coordinators working together as a team to assess mechanisms of disease, new drugs, and exciting new technology.
Responsibilities include, assisting the study team recruiting study participants, consenting parental permission/assent process, educating parents/participants, scheduling/conducting study procedures, blood sampling/collection/processing, collecting/recording study data, delivering study drug, teaching, maintaining study records, interfacing with study sponsors, and participating in sponsor study monitoring/site selection visits. The research nurse will also participate in IRB submissions, assisting in regulatory document preparation and collection, in-servicing research teams.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; Associate degree in Nursing will require obtaining BSN within 3 years of hire date;
- Effectively uses Microsoft computer software;
- Demonstrates ability to coordinate and establish priorities among diverse tasks;
- Effectively communicates verbally and in writing
- Experience is preferred but not mandatory, we are willing to train in both the clinical and research aspects of the position.
