Job Summary
We are seeking detail-oriented Medical Coding Specialists in OP, IP, ProFee, ER, Clinic, Dental, and DRG Specialities to join our team. The Coding Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and accurately assigning appropriate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services performed by healthcare providers. We need coder with VA, DoD, and Indian Health Services experience.
Duties
- Assign appropriate ICD-10, DRG, and ICD-9 codes to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement
- Review medical records and documentation to verify coding accuracy
- Work closely with medical billing and collection teams to resolve coding issues
- Stay updated on coding guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to clarify documentation as needed
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding systems
- Experience with medical records, medical billing, and medical office procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in assigning codes
- Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG coding principles
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
