10 years of experience managing technical solutions within the Smart Analytics or cloud domains.
10 years of customer-facing practical experience in the enterprise space, especially in translating customer needs into solutions.
Experience with database technologies, data warehouse, data integration, analytics, AI/ML and distributed data architectures.
10 years of experience leading and managing a team to thrive in ambiguity in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.
Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and import and export talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.
Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
Ability to deliver a polished and professional business and technical pitch to the C-Suite and Board levels.

About the job
As the North American Director of Smart Analytics, you will build, lead, and develop a community of sales specialists and customer engineers, bringing your experience and expertise together to create a vision and go-to-market strategy for North America. You will develop new solution initiatives and provide input on the materials to support a broad cross-functional group of stakeholders, including Product Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams, to help define analytics solutions and a strategy in order to meet growth goals at Google Cloud.
You will showcase thought leadership by identifying and parsing industry trends in cloud computing as well as feedback from customers and Customer Engineering to recommend, plan for, and address core market opportunities with new analytics solutions. You will ensure technical and commercial readiness of these solutions, including assets to enable the go-to-market teams, and provide field feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to help shape product direction. Finally, you will set key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement for solution adoption, and recommend ways to adapt as the market and customer needs evolve.

Create an integrated North American go to market strategy for Smart Analytics and the Commercialization at Google Cloud.
Partner closely with Engineering directors, Product leaders, Sales strategy, and executive leadership to ensure solutions alignment with engineering, product priorities, and GTM priorities.
Proactively accelerate solutions learning and adoption by streamlining processes, identifying, simplifying execution, managing objectives and key results (OKRs). Create sales assets such as lighthouse wins, competitive strategies, successful RFP responses/libraries.
