The Application Systems Programmer Analyst Sr. independently provides advanced technical analysis, application systems programming, web development, and quality assurance testing, ensuring that software created meets functional specifications.
Minimum education and/or experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and a five (5) years of progressively responsible enterprise level experience in software development.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:Knowledge of:
Visual Studio.NET and Sql Server.
Design, construction and maintenance of desktop and batch applications using C#, VB.NET and TSQL.
Mentoring and training less experienced staff members.
Communicating technical information to different levels of expertise throughout all levels of the department.
Understand technical manuals, software specifications, hardware principals of operations and systems software operations.
Generate reports using Crystal Reports and SQL Reporting Services.
Work independently on complex problems.
Preferred education and/or experience:
Advanced degree in Computer Science or closely related field and seven (7) years of enterprise level experience in software development. Experience with project work in a Windows client/server environment using SQL server and Windows 10 Enterprise.
Working at a desk in an environmentally controlled office.
Essential Job Tasks
Develops software modules of high complexity and scope, while adhering to documented development standards.
Works in a team environment to develop (code/debug/test), document, and install client server and web-based software systems.
Responsible for technical design, coding, unit testing, peer reviews, providing time/cost estimates, and required documentation.
Works independently to develop solutions for complex business and technical problems.
Participates in some aspects of end user consulting, systems analysis, general systems design, and detail systems design.
Maintains awareness of state-of-the-art development methodologies and tools, programming and problem-solving techniques, and hardware systems.
Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
