Position: Legal Assistant/Paralegal
Location: Primarily remote, with occasional trips to downtown Pittsburgh for mail collection.
Compensation: $47,000 to $50,000 annually, comprising hourly wages, benefits, and bonuses.
Weekly Commitment: 45 hours, with the opportunity for those demonstrating proficiency and dedication to delve deeper into legal work and understand the intricacies of the field.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Handle both inbound and outbound client communications. Your voice may be the first they hear, and your empathy the first they feel.
- Document Management: Draft and send Legal Service Agreements. Depending on your expertise, assist in crafting vital legal documents such as interview assessments, demand letters, and federal complaints.
- Narrative Building: Interview clients, understand their challenges, and create compelling narratives that mirror their experiences.
- Operational Tasks: Very occasionally collect mail from downtown Pittsburgh. Also, manage deadlines, and participate in website content.
- Continuous Learning: Depending on your capabilities and interests, immerse yourself in areas like Wrongful Termination, Unemployment Issues, and broader Employment Law Matters.
