What you’ll do
Achieves assigned goals and objectives in a timely, accurate and efficient manner, thereby contributing to growth and profitability. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, oversees and directs the Flower Mound manufacturing & distribution facility. Functions as the Leader and expert in instituting robust and lean operations through Six Sigma principles and techniques, implementing successful strategies in supply chain and distribution management, streamlining, cost-containment ideas, client interaction, production, materials planning, process improvement, team-building and management, inclusive of process optimization
Strategic Planning/Organizational Alignment:
Develops proper report structure to ensure successful operation.
Strategic management of the production, quality, shipping, receiving, technology, inventory, engineering and third-party partnerships.
Partners with executive team to identify long-range goals and objectives for moving the business forward.
Develops and directs short and long-term strategic goals, objectives and direction for all operations.
Recommends and implement best practices based on research.
Balances short and long-term goals and objectives to ensure business needs are achieved.
Plans and advises for future operational needs (i.e. building expansion, equipment, staffing, systems).
Advises Leadership on strategic business development and key corporate planning issues that relate and impact the operations of the company.
Determines and directs resource allocation.
Maintains pro-active communication with Leadership regarding business activities, performance, opportunities, and recommended courses of action.
Provides direction and control for production, quality, shipping, receiving, technology, inventory, and engineering to ensure operations is functioning optimally.
Ensures customer SLA’s and all related departmental productivity and quality goals are met.
Ensures compliance with company policy, OSHA and with applicable federal, state, and local regulations is maintained.
Drives process improvement opportunities within each area in operations.
Drives results and accountability thru effective KPI’s, SOP’s and reporting.
Ensures reduction and/or elimination of potential loss and risk.
Develops and oversee budgets to maximize resource allocation. Ensure adherence to annual budgets.
Understands how operations impacts P&L.
Encourages fiscal responsibility from direct reports.
Overalls budget management and compliance to approved levels for capital and operating expenses.
Monitors department performance against performance goals to ensure progress is being made and corrective action, if necessary, is taken.
Develops vision and sets direction for department and develops an organized, effective and efficient team that lives the Thirty-One values.
Directs and manages teams of managers & professionals to achieve departmental goals and strategies. Develops team members through coaching and counseling and ensures well-informed, professional outcomes.
Demonstrates team building skills and leads through actions, advice and counsel.
Reviews annual performance and recommends appropriate rewards based on performance and contributions.
Develops a talent pool of team members who are committed to excellence and wish to further their career at TOG.
What you’ll need to be successful
Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
10-15 years’ leadership experience in overall operations
10-15 years’ experience in operations, supply chain, facilities development, and operating related systems (WMS, OMS, etc.)
Experience with process improvement/lean manufacturing techniques
Demonstrate knowledge and experience with Six Sigma principles
Demonstrated achievement with building and leading teams of varying functions to be organized, disciplined, and focused on delivering results in multiple locations
Demonstrated experience driving innovation and change
Demonstrated experience providing resourceful solutions to resolve problems
Experience with automated warehouse/distribution management systems
Expertise with business applications and call center management systems
Demonstrated analytical, creative, problem solving skills focused on driving for results.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and have a strong understanding of the P&L side of the business.
Proven ability to transform current marketing trends and information into profitable strategies for the business.
