Shop Technician Team Member reports to the Facility Manager and helps with mounting new tires, dismounting old tires, balancing tires, rotating tires, changing a vehicles oil, and fixing flat repairs. This position requires customer service skills, the ability to complete work needed on vehicles, inter-personal relationship skills, and accuracy.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Complete a jobs with thoroughness and professionalism.
Drive customer vehicle onto a lift, securing the vehicle, and performing work on the vehicle.
Completing preventative maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations and balancing.
Operate all shop equipment needed to perform a job.
Operate independently and as a team to perform duties.
Ordering parts and supplies as needed.
Make sure customers get billed for parts and supplies needed for their vehicle.
Cleaning up after jobs are completed.
Perform all safety related items as per the Employee Safety Manual.
Ensure proper lifting procedures are used when conducting work.
Listens and expresses ideas and concepts clearly and accurately.
Maintain calm and productivity while managing the incoming workload.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to shift priorities as business conditions demand.
Experience working directly with customers.
Good interpersonal skills a must.
Customer service skills a must.
