Homebase Customer Success in Houston, TX is looking for one account development rep to join our 33 person strong team. We are located on 2101 City West Place Techspace 1st Floor. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working.

About you:

You are driven, energetic and engaging. You are committed and looking to join a startup (and yes, a Silicon Valley startup is different than most typical roles). You are confident in your skills, considered by your friends to be an early adopter of technology, and are willing to go the extra mile every time because you don't know how to function any other way. You are curious and pro-active in identifying solutions to problems.


  • Build rapport with new and existing customers while multi-tasking and following a consultative sales approach.
  • Upsell additional Homebase products and services that help our customers reach their goals
  • Deliver value to the company through customer conversion, retention and cross sell
  • Must be able to remain focused in a fast paced environment, speaking to as many as 40 customers per day while taking inbound calls and making outbound calls


  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills required
  • Previous customer support and/or sales experience preferred
  • Must have an excellent telephone presence
  • Comfortable with technology in general (you are the person people call when they need help with their new wireless printer)
  • Sense of humor


  • High school diploma, but some college experience preferred
  • Pass a background and drug screen
  • Prior experience working in a restaurant or small business helpful
  • 1+ years of customer service experience preferred
  • Prior call center experience preferred (outbound / inbound / sales)
  • Minimum 1 year sales experience preferred
