Overview of Position:
Internal Audit Analysts are key team members of the Internal Audit department and have a direct impact on its success. They are team members on internal assurance and advisory projects, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing, and department initiatives that help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Internal Audit department.

Job Responsibilities

Internal Audit Project Delivery
Participates in assurance and advisory projects, both IT and non-IT, through evaluation of evidence and completion of project deliverables
Accountable for managing own time to perform tasks and documents audit steps performed, conclusions, and results
Proactively works to develop solutions through collaboration
Receives moderate level of guidance and direction, seeking consultation if unclear
Sarbanes-Oxley Control testing including business process and IT general control domains.

Understands basic business and IT processes
Performs and documents process walkthroughs, control design assessments, and testing the operating effectiveness of controls
Builds and leverages knowledge of the business, processes, and systems

Nurtures and builds positive relationships within IA team and other stakeholders
Demonstrates creativity in projects and IA department initiatives (Re-Imagines)
Understands professional strengths and weaknesses and aligns development to address
Seeks and is open to constructive feedback
Owns actions and decisions
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Two (2) years of experience in internal or external auditing, accounting, finance, information technology, or related field
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, information technology, or another related business field with significant quantitative and analytical content

Preferred Qualifications

Passion for Vail Resorts

Certification in relevant field (CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, etc.) or seeking certification a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, programming languages (e.g., SQL), and experience analyzing large datasets
Working knowledge of systems, application controls and IT general controls
