Physical Requirements
Moving and lifting object from floor to above shoulders up to 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Continuous working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&S policy.

Primarily Days Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hrs/wk), some Evenings, Weekends are possible

Job Summary
The Saha Cardiovascular Research Center has an opening for a very senior level experienced Scientist III.

Successful extramural support requires increased supervisory and teaching responsibilities and an independently operational employee.

In addition, the laboratory’s focus on targeted/untargeted metabolomics, statistical analyses of large data sets and population-based environmental epidemiology require a scientist well-trained in analytical chemistry but also having extensive knowledge of the complex disease states and mechanisms in order to design translational informatics and targeted mass spectroscopy approaches to properly interpret the findings.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Development and maintenance of compliant IACUC protocols; grant writing.

Preferred Education/Experience
PhD degree in a related field (science preferred) plus three or more years related experience in a research laboratory.
