In-Game Emcee Position
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are the American Hockey League of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Established in 1999, the Penguins are entering their 21st season of providing great fan experiences in the sports entertainment industry.

The team is seeking a talented, outgoing, and energetic personality to fill the role as an In-Game Emcee/Host for home games during the 2019-2020 season. This individual will be responsible for following along and executing in-game promotional reads and activities, engaging with fans both on camera and off, and working as part of the Penguins promo squad.

Home games run from September-April. This is a PART-TIME, paid position.

Responsibilities:
Follow along and execute in-game promotions.
Serve as emcee during intermission promotions, activities, and games.
Assist interns and out mascot, TUX, with set-up/breakdown of any props for in-game activities, intermission activities, etc.
Assist in finding contestants for media timeout and intermission games.

Qualifications:
Friendly, outgoing, energetic personality
Comfortable speaking and acting in front of large crowds and on camera
Experience in promotions, public speaking, or entertainment are preferred, but not required.
Creativity and an ability to improvise on the microphone.

Requirements:
Must be available for ALL 40 home games.
Must be able to lift items up to 30 pounds.
The host is required to arrive at arena two hours before puck drop to go over that night’s activities with Game Operations Manager and Game Night Staff.

Use the scripts as guides, but feel free to put your own spin on the activities. We want to see your personality! If you can, find a family member or friend to act as a contest while recording the video to show us how you may interact with the fan on camera. Try to imagine yourself in an arena setting in front of a crowd of thousands of people.

Additionally, please provide a 30-45 second clip or highlight package on your own of you singing, dancing, doing something funny or witty that will set you apart from others and prove to us that you are the correct unique character for this position.
