The Grant-funded Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP) Facilitator & Child Enrichment Specialist participates in developing and implementing the First 5 funded programs, provides community informational and educational outreach services, and serves as a community liaison to establish effective relationships on behalf of the Medical Center. Within departmental objectives and policy, the NPP Facilitator & Child Enrichment Specialist exercises some independent judgment in developing, planning, directing, coordinating, and delivering parenting classes, child enrichment support, developmental screening, referrals to community resources and outreach services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:
High School Diploma or GED required, two or more years of college course work highly desirable and/or work experience

Experience:
Required minimum 1 year experience with working with families and children providing education, supporting or assisting clients with navigating linkages to community resources; and/or health and social services settings

Training:
Minimum 6 units (2 courses) in child development or child care provider training preferred; complete NPP Facilitator Training within 6 months of hire.

License / Certification:
Class C California driver's license – Travel to alternate clinic and other locations required Clear DMV driving record
