Staff Pharmacist – Per Diem

This position will work day shift hours, as needed.

As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Staff Pharmacist you will be responsible for patient order and product preparation management, maintaining security of pharmacy and controlled substances, managing patient information with accuracy, providing nutritional support, pharmacokinetic dosing, IV to PO and pharmacy based renal dosing. May assist in PK dosing, antibiotic monitoring and recommendation, MUE, compiling P&T reports and other assigned clinical activities.

About the Hospital: Founded in 1953, Memorial Hospital of Gardena provides full-service healthcare to the Gardena community, an ethnically diverse city south of Los Angeles with a population of 59,557. With 173 licensed beds, 103 acute beds, and 69 sub-acute beds, the hospital admits 7,400 patients and treats more than 30,000 outpatients per year. The pharmacy is centralized and is open weekdays from 7AM to 10PM, and weekends from 7:30AM to 8PM. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). All pharmacy staff are employees of CPS.

Required Qualifications:
Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD)
CA licensure in good standing
1+ years experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital inpatient pharmacy
Strong clinical knowledge
Good communication skills
