Territory: Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia
Responsible for developing assigned territory and sales plans to target key customers and prioritize roofing sales activities; qualifying new and existing opportunities to determine revenue potential; positioning products and services as a strategic advantage to customers and communicates value proposition and business drivers; recommending products to customers based on customers’ needs; negotiating with customer to grow business while maintaining margin targets; monitoring market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales; and managing customer concerns fairly, promptly and effectively.
College degree preferred and 2-4 years of outside sales experience.
Knowledge of roofing industry, material and products is a strong plus.
Ability to develop a customer base, prospect new accounts, retain existing accounts, and increase opportunities with existing customers.
Strong influential skills/level of charisma for building long-term relationships with customers.
Must be a self-starter with high energy.
Ability work with minimal supervision and schedule time effectively.
Excellent communication skills, customer service focus, excellent negotiation skills.
Basic computer proficiency, particularly with Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet, familiarity with AS400 database a strong plus.
Requires travel throughout assigned territory.
