Full Job Description

Work as a member of a construction crew
Assist in carpentry, rebar support and pouring concrete, pipe handling
Learn to use appropriate hand (i.e. hammer, pliers, shovels, rake) and power tools (i.e. skill saw, concrete vibrator, dewatering pump, builder’s level/laser level) to properly assist skilled craft workers in measuring, cutting, assembling and installing forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts
Load, transport, unload, and furnish carpenter with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
Clean work area and equipment, and restock supplies and materials as necessary
Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and workpieces during installation
May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of journeyman's tools and equipment
Perform other routine duties as directed by experienced craft worker
Dig trenches, backfill holes, compact earth, walk behind roller, learn to use survey equipment
Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications.
