In our quest for connecting customers to Starbucks products they love, the Marketing Technology Team plays a critical role by shaping and managing customer identity, customer engagement data, customer and device relationships at web scale; enabling functional services and data analytics to make relevant data driven decisions during a customer's Starbucks experience.
On the Marketing Technology team, you will be responsible for leading a team in development, designing, building, and maintaining our intelligent solutions that are critical in driving personalized, contextual and relevant digital experiences for millions of Starbucks customers. You will be deeply involved in design and implementation of highly available, scalable and resilient services and will partner with product owners to build new capabilities and features. Your technical skills are foundational, but your contributions as a team member will be differentiated by your ability to design and deliver customer-centric solutions.
Some things for you to tackle include:
Lead the design, implementation, and operation of successful large-scale systems and services in the marketing technology and personalization domain
Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach
Active in implementing the key parts of the system
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software incrementally against aggressive schedules
Develop the long-term strategy for the services and translate that into an achievable road-map/action plan, working with the leadership team
7+ years of professional industry experience with software development
Advanced experience working with distributed systems and architectures, including SOA, SaaS, and microservices approaches
Experience in Event-driven Architecture, Event sourcing, Asynchronous microservices
Building middleware systems, RESTful APIs and microservices on public cloud (Azure / AWS).
Using and supporting modern continuous delivery and DevOps pipelines and tools.
Strong interpersonal skills including excellent communication and the ability to collaborate and work well with others
Mentoring, coaching and leading other technical team members.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to design pragmatic solutions.
Strong proficiency in atleast one OO programming language, databases, web technologies
Demonstrated success working within an Agile development environment (Scrum/Kanban/Lean/XP).
