Corporate Communications Manager
Vivint’s Corporate Communication Manager supports the 10,000+ employees located across the U.S. and Canada.
We are seeking a dynamic, hardworking communications professional to build and deliver our strategy for Vivint Smart Home. The manager will drive projects from initial concept through final delivery, partnering closely with a variety of leadership teams, Human Resources, and various other stakeholders/clients. The manager should be, at different times, a writer, project manager, critical/creative thinker, storyteller, and communication authority. They will be collaborative, passionate, high energy, organized, articulate, and able to distill clear messages to drive culture.
We’re looking for a communication professional to join our team who is passionate about the smart home industry, our employees and strategic communication.
This position reports to the Director of Corporate Communications and is located in Provo, Utah.
Manages a variety of clients across Vivint, consulting on projects and providing proactive, strategic direction and communication execution.
Develops and implements strategic communication plans working effectively with clients to assess the situation/need, compile and analyze research, outline an effective approach/strategy, develop key messages and FAQs, as well as use appropriate communication tactics and vehicles to achieve plan goals.
Participates in continuous improvement process to more quickly and effectively deliver accurate and timely information to key stakeholders/employees, with a focus on the integration of new technology and communication channels.
Assists with planning and execution of all internal events including Leadership Meetings, Town Halls and other events.
Maintain awareness of company, industry and overall business issues, goals, trends and challenge and make recommendations based on observations.
Develop strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
Determine the most effective strategies and techniques to engage employees in Vivint’s strategy, culture and mission.
Oversee efforts to obtain broad employee feedback to guide business and communications decisions.
Align efforts with Vivint’s brand and mission.
5+ years of demonstrated experience in the internal or employee communications field, preferably at a Fortune 500 company.
Degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design or a closely related major.
Track record of building and scaling an internal communications program at a complex organization.
Demonstrated ability to build strategies aligned with business goals and company culture.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premier.
Comfortable on a variety of social platforms, including Instagram and Facebook.
Proficient in web-based platforms such as WordPress with basic knowledge of HTML.
Strong expertise and leadership skills, and aptitude to take informed, creative risks.
Ability and agility to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Ability to influence in multiple ways and build credibility quickly with key stakeholders and peers.
Strong sense of initiative and ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in setting goals and developing ways to measure those goals.
Technology industry experience preferred.
