The People Experience Business Partner will be responsible to serve as first point of contact on all employee related concerns, complaints, and grievances and provide a litigation-free workplace. Researches, conducts interviews and provides recommendations for possible solutions or actions steps needed. This position is responsible for HR Compliance, employee engagement, performance management and all other general human resources functions. As well as properly maintains and records updates to Employee Handbooks, Policies, and related training material.
Responsible for keeping up to date with all federal and state laws to ensure compliance is adhered to. Assists in the review of current employee relations policies, practices and procedures to ensure uniformity of application and compliance with company policy. Makes recommendations to the Chief People Officer to change policies, practices, and procedures where current and pending legal regulations may impact organization.
Within company policy assists in the investigation of employee complaints and disputes within company policy; documents findings and recommends disciplinary action and/or appropriate resolution. Implements resolution as approved by senior level personnel.
Conducts basic internal audits of employee relations issues such as employee turnover, hiring, transfer and promotion practices, exit interviews, etc. to identify trends or situations that need training, counseling or reprimand. Compiles findings and recommends action(s) to resolve issues.
Facilitates company approved training programs to enhance manager/employee coaching, communication and feedback programs that enhance employee satisfaction and to resolve misunderstandings before they escalate.
Assists in conducting exit interviews follow ups, identifies potential employee relations issues, reports findings and recommends action.
Tracks all employee relations issues and records metrics to comply with legislative and internal requirements. Prepares, analyzes and documents all cases as appropriate within company guidelines and confidentiality requirements. Provides Chief People Officer with Monthly Metrics on all Employee Relations cases.
Updates and maintains changes to the Employee Handbook and company policies. Creates consistent practices across all TROC entities while also capturing all client specific policies and working with the People Attraction & Experience team to ensure timely communication, implementation and updates to systems as needed.
Works on performance management program development including: goal setting, performance evaluations, appraisals, and rewards and recognition.
Assists with other People Experience responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and 2 to 3 years’ work experience in Human Resources.
CP/PHR or SCP/SPHR Certification preferred.
Experience and full knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations with full understanding of human resources practices and procedures, experience working with Puerto Rico a plus.
Previous payroll and strong benefits experience preferably with ADP products.
MS Office experience including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint at an intermediate to advance level.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills are required.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are required.
Requires flexibility to work long hours and weekends during peak business operations periods.
Strong customer service excellence focus is required.
Team player and collaborative approach to meeting mutual goals are required.
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Must work in our Coral Gables FL headquarters office
Occasional travel may be required, may be up to 20%.
