The Department of Management in the College of Business at New Mexico State University (NMSU) is seeking to fill one 9-month, tenure- track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the areas of Supply Chain and /or Strategy. Candidates are required to hold a Ph.D in Business Administration from an AACSB accredited program, with specialization in Supply Chain Management/Operations/Strategy or related areas. ABD applicants with successful defense by start date will be considered.
The successful applicant will have responsibilities in the areas of teaching, research and service to the department, university and community. The position requires continued scholarly activity, including research publications in leading academic journals
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Business Administration or a closely related discipline from an AACSB business accredited school with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management, Project Management , and /or Strategy, ABD applicants with successful defense by start date will be considered.
The successful applicant will have responsibilities in the areas of teaching, research and service to the department, university and community. The position requires continued scholarly activity, including research publications in leading academic journals in the field of management. The faculty member will actively participate in graduate education by chairing graduate committees, serving on graduate committees, and supervising dissertation research, including Master and Doctoral students. Applicants will be expected to frequently present their research at international conferences like the Academy of Management and/or Decision Sciences Institute (note: this is not an inclusive list). Courses to taught (undergraduate and graduate) will primarily be in the area(s) of supply chain management, operations management, and strategic management. However, courses may vary based on the experience of the candidate and the needs of the Management Department.
Preferred Qualifications (optional)
Prior experience and success in seeking external research funding and motivation to work in multidisciplinary teams are desirable. Relevant industry experience is also desirable. Applicants that have an active certification in project management is desirable ( i.e., Project Management Professional or Certified Associate in Project Management by the Project Management Institute).
