The Account Executive is responsible for the management and performance of Shiseido’s business in their assigned territory doors. The Account Executive is accountable for achieving company objectives relating to retail and net sales productivity, inventory management, marketing program execution, budget/resource control and profitability. The key Human Resource responsibilities include the professional development, education and motivation of Shiseido Beauty Consultants and Retail Store Owners. Core Shiseido counter animation, marketing and merchandising activities must be maintained to develop new customers and existing loyal clientele, as well as develop and nurture a business relationship with Independent Retail Store Owners.

Essential Job Duties

Business Development
By territory and retail partner develop brand growth strategies and market share objectives to achieve retail sales and strong market share position within retailer brand lineup and in targeted demographic markets.
Track demographic movements in communities and strategically work to target new business opportunities with direct consumers and new potential retailers.
Achieve business objectives with skills and ability to operate in a multilingual and multicultural business environment.
Present Shiseido brand program investments to Store Retail Owner and negotiate for inventory buy-in and merchandising investments to promote brand/house product line.
Implement events as lead makeup artist and/or facial service expert to lead by example for Retail Owners and Beauty Consultants and retain loyal customers and reach new customers
Support and educate marketing initiatives with Retail Owners to adopt new mktg tools in direct marketing, email marketing, Ipad consultation, and social media.
Inventory and Order Management
By door, plans, monitors, and works with independent store owner to maintain sufficient inventory by stock keeping unit, brand, and category to support achievement of net and retail sales objectives.
Communicates and coordinates inventory needs and order placement with Retail Store Owner and with Direct Supervisor. Assist in writing, transmitting, and tracking orders to Retail Store Owner.
Works strategically with Retail Store Owner to balance inventory by door to reflect sales trend and need.
Customer Service – respond to customer service related issues (shipping, invoices, accounts payable, and discrepancies).
Account Management – Sales, Marketing & Education
Achieve net and retail sales plans
Sales Tracking and Productivity – track and report sales results; understand, communicate and react to results
Strengthen and build existing relationship and brand goodwill with Retail Store Owners
Conducts orientation for new Store Owners and Beauty Consultants. Coordinates with Training Executive to assess progress and eligibility for seminar attendance. Works one on one with new and experienced Store Owners and Beauty Consultants (in-store) on developing Beauty Method skills, customer attraction and development skills, product merchandising, and counter hygiene and maintenance. Follows up on materials covered in Training Agenda, and Seasonal Modules. Conducts Retailer Team meetings to develop strategies, set goals and refine business and customer skills.
Maintain communication (AE, TE) on Beauty Consultant training, follow up, and progress. When and where possible, conducts training modules for all qualified Store Owners and Beauty Consultants. Works with Training Executives to develop training strategies for Retail Partners. Puts individual skills into action at counter to teach by example.
Challenge Store Owners and Beauty Consultants to grow in their positions by teaching new skills, and developing new customers. Recognizes achievements and assists in areas of opportunity
Resource Management
By door, manages/maximizes use of marketing and sales promotion seasonal resources such as samples, value sets, promotional sets, and collateral materials.
Considers strategic ROI – Return on Investment in growing specific retail and demographic growth opportunities. Evaluates retail trends to determine resource movement against sales plan assigned to each door.

Additional Responsibilities
Plan and execute customer development and service events.
Assist in major events and new store openings when needed.
Assists in developing seasonal marketing and sales promotion calendar.
Forecast, achieve and report retail and net sales objectives.
Manage account and operating budgets as assigned: Co-ad, Demo, Tester Refill, Operating
Manages Returns & Destroy in Field damages
Maintain Shiseido image, presentation and counter tools and hygiene standards

Bilingual (English and Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Vietnamese)
Must possess strong organization, prioritization and analytical skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity.
Cosmetics retail sales management experience required
Be a good listener, able to respond to Retail Store Partners
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with accounts and co-workers
Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
Willing to travel
4 year College degree required
