This borderless and innovative model enables education loan financing to students from across the globe, whilst using predicted post-degree affordability rather than present-day salary. Since 2007, Prodigy Finance has extended over US$500 million through the platform to fund over 12,000 students from over 120 countries.

Our team of over 150 (and growing) is already truly global. Our head office is in London with much of the team being based in beautiful Cape Town. We also have an office in New York plus team members based across Europe and Asia.

Based in New York, you will help us to launch our refinance product offering to businesses looking to support their international employees with outstanding student loans.

Our current product offering makes it possible for students from more than 120 countries to obtain the finance to fulfil their dream of studying at the world's top universities. We have recently launched a refinance offering for international students who have now graduated and would like to save on their monthly student loan repayments. What you will do in the role

You will join our new product launch Refinance team, where you will play a leading role in scaling our refinance product and delivering a phenomenal product and customer experience for some of the best international clients in the world.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with the Refinance team to scale our loan refinance product to international clients
  • Evangelise and market the Prodigy Finance proposition
  • Be the senior member in a growing team, providing leadership, coordination and knowledge to the team
  • Identify and develop go-to-market strategies to obtain new clients through partners and distribution channels
  • Drive new marketing campaigns for selected channels
  • Build solid partnerships with top companies to obtain new clients. Handle day-to-day operations with partners
  • Communicate with customers to identify user needs to constantly improve the product offering
  • Participate in the growth of the overall team with the opportunity to take on a larger management role
What you will be measured on

  • Lead identification and generation through B2B sales
  • Developing clear B2B partnerships to drive sales (applications submitted)
  • Monitoring KPIs for refinance product line in order to identify trends and new opportunities
  • Building effective internal relationships with Prodigy's Business Development, Operations, Marketing and Investor functions. Work closely with the Operations teams on loan processing and problem solving
  • Collecting feedback and ideas to improve internal process and client relationships within the Business Development function
  • Working with the team to evolve the product and proposition, to continually meet the needs of all stakeholders in the Prodigy Finance value chain

Who we are looking for; track record must haves

  • Degree qualification and a demonstrable interest in higher education
  • Experience working as a senior B2B Sales, Business Development or Relationship Manager with a focus on loans and refinancing
  • Experience creating and implementing B2B sales strategies with demonstrable experience of delivering superior results in the B2B space through partnerships
  • Experience selling to C-level prospects within a financial services industry with a proven track record in establishing and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering a product or service in a customer led environment; delight the customer, deliver high standards of customer care and excellent customer service
  • Proven experience of successfully managing and building collaborative relationships within a cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrable interest in fintech with a strong understanding of digital marketing
  • Experience of working in a tech based environment, using technology to improve and scale up processes
  • Global citizen; interested in working with multiple cultures, thirst for learning about philosophies, social behaviours and education systems of other nationalities and countries
  • Willingness to travel. You will be based in Prodigy Finance's NYC office, and assigned to travel within the US. You may also be required to travel anywhere further afield, and occasionally to Prodigy Finance's Cape Town and London offices
Experience that would be nice to have (but we'll trade off if everything else fits)
