The Legacy Ranch Chef will be responsible for delicious and memorable menu items for Ala Carte Dining, Banquets, Corporate Events, Seasonal Hunting Adventures, and Weddings. Our mission is to delight all guests every time! We are looking for an experienced Chef that can Lead, Motivate, and Inspire a team. We serve an ever-evolving menu to a fine dining clientele.
Responsibilities include
- Chef will plan menus and presentation for a la carte and special event functions.
- Schedule and coordinate the work of cooks and other kitchen staff as needed.
- Responsible requisition of products and other food supplies.
- Ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety.
- Establish and manage inventory controls to minimize food and supply waste.
- Safeguard all food preparation employees by implementing training to increase their knowledge about safety, sanitation, and accident prevention principles.
- Create recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation.
- Coordinate with Owners and Management for budget creation, and project annual food, labor and other costs to ensure financial goals are met.
- Cook or directly supervise the cooking of items that require skillful preparation.
- Evaluate food products to assure quality standards are consistently attained.
- Ensuring that all kitchen equipment works and is maintained properly
Basic Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum of (3) three years culinary experience with a restaurant and banquet background.
- Schedule will vary according to operating needs and will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to handle heavy lifting over 50lbs, long hours of standing and other taxing physical activities.
- Must understand private membership dynamic and how it impacts day-to-day operations.
- Appropriate culinary certifications preferred.
- Experience with creation of menus for various restaurants, member events, theme nights, classic (continental) cuisine.
