Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will be a high-performer and potential future CFO successor. The Corporate Controller will provide accounting, reporting and internal controls expertise, financial process guidance, strategic financial oversight, and business leadership/insight to the company. This person will be responsible for all accounting, tax and associated reporting activities for the business. Specific areas of responsibility will include leading and providing financial/business advice covering the accounting close process, technical accounting (including revenue recognition), financial reporting, worldwide tax/financial compliance, internal controls, treasury and cash management, risk management and insurance, financial and non-financial business process review, business strategy initiatives and special projects. The Corporate Controller will have considerable experience not only in providing financial guidance and expertise to different functions within the company, but also will make recommendations to improve process and profitability. This person will initially manage a team of three with growth expected over time.


Strategic partnership with CFO and other business leaders to support growth strategies and ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant rules and regulations

General accounting, accounts payable and payroll
Annual financial statement audit
Revenue management including revenue recognition, invoicing and credit and collections
Other technical accounting matters
Internal control over financial reporting
Cost accounting and operations finance, including supervision of the Cost Accounting Manager
Treasury / cash management, including cash reporting and forecasting
Lender reporting and compliance
Risk management and insurance, including annual renewal
US Federal and State and international tax planning and compliance
Legal and contracts support
Investor reporting and management
Equity administration and equity compensation
Government contract forecasting, invoicing and compliance

Builds teams, partnerships and relationships across the organization and externally that lead to the highest levels of collaboration, engagement and productivity
Assists CFO and other company executives in the development and formulation of long and short-range financial plans, policies, programs and objectives
Anticipates needs and ensures development and maintenance of robust, scalable capabilities (processes, systems, policies/procedures, organization and compliance) to support the company's rapid growth
Hires, trains, mentors and develops the Accounting team
Owns the Company's financial statements and monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting
Ensures GAAP-compliant statements are accurate and produced on a timely basis in compliance with a monthly close calendar
Oversees the consolidation of financial results and preparation of consolidated financial statements
Responsible for overall integrity of general ledger structure including account set up, and working with IT team/outside consultants to ensure ERP system is running efficiently and effectively
Implements and maintains strong internal controls, processes and policies and develops path to future SOX compliance
Owns technical accounting including assessment and implementation of new accounting standards
Owns revenue management including revenue recognition (ASC 606), invoicing and credit and collections
Oversees the Accounting Manager's ownership of general accounting, accounts payable and payroll
Oversees the Cost Accounting Manager's ownership of cost accounting and operations finance
Owns equity administration and equity accounting utilizing Carta system, including 409A analyses
Supports financial aspects of debt and equity financing activities
Owns invoicing and supports forecasting and compliance for the Company's government contract
With the Director, Finance, helps drive the budget and forecast process
With the Director, Finance, helps prepare Finance-related content for presentations to the Board of Directors, investors and other stakeholders
Initiates and leads relevant projects (e.g., ERP implementations, major accounting standard implementations)
Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required

Works with CFO to manage:
External auditor relationship; leads annual audit process
Treasury including banking relationships; owns cash management and cash flow forecasting
Risk management and insurance; helps lead annual renewal process
Comprehensive tax planning; owns tax compliance activities
Legal and contracting support, including management of outside commercial/contracts counsel
Investor relationships; owns equity investor reporting and monthly lender reporting and compliance

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master's Degree or MBA a plus
CPA required; 5-7+ years Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred
10 – 15+ years of progressive, relevant Finance experience including building, leading and mentoring teams in a fast-paced environment
In-depth manufacturing experience and understanding of cost accounting concepts and their application required
Experience working with an ERP system required; ERP implementation experience a plus
M&A and/or IPO experience a plus

Directly manages Accounting Manager and Cost Accounting Manager
Works closely with CFO and Director, Finance (Finance leadership team) to define and execute on organizational goals and strategic plans
